About Kat

About Kat Monster

Hi! I’m Kat - a queer, indigenous artist from the Arizona desert now living in the PNW.
I’m a drag performer, makeup artist, and a traditional/digital artist. Since I was a kid, I’ve been creative; whether it’s been making homemade comic books or turning myself into something out of a horror movie - I’ve always loved to create things! I gather inspiration from so much - cartoons, movies, nostalgia, and the wonderful people I surround myself with. Tattooing has been my ultimate goal for many years and I’m so beyond excited to start this journey.
Tattoos make me feel so comfortable and confident in my skin and that is what I hope to give to others!

Let's connect!

Tattoo Aftercare

Good healing habits applied to your tattoo now will ensure a beautiful, healthy, long lasting art piece.♡ Day 1: (Day of tattoo) Keep the initial covering on for 3-4 hours to protect your tattoo from bacteria and dirt. When taking the covering off, first wash your hands thoroughly and then gently clean your tattoo with unscented antibacterial soap. Only use unscented liquid soap (Like Dial Foaming soap) and clean with the pads of your fingers - do not use bar soap, washcloths, or loofas! Pat dry with a clean paper towel and make sure you sleep in clean clothes and bedsheets. Leave your tattoo alone as much as possible until day 2.♡ Day 2: After 24 hours, begin applying unscented moisturizer 2-3 times per day or when your tattoo feels dry. Also 2-3 times per day clean your hands and continue to use the pads of your fingers to lightly wash your tattoo.♡ First week: Your tattoo may be red and tender for the first week or so. Do your best to keep it clean and leave it alone. Get adequate rest and hydration to keep your body healthy and healing. You also may notice your tattoo beginning to flake or peel - never pick at the flakes as this can cause the area to fade or lose ink pigment completely. Always allow your tattoo to peel on its own!♡ Second week: Every healing process is different, but usually around day 7-14 you may experience intense itching. DO NOT SCRATCH YOUR TATTOO. Moisturizing your tattoo, lightly patting it, or applying ice for 10 minutes or less can help soothe the itch. When using ice, don't exceed 15 minutes of icing for skin safety and proper circulation. 10 minutes on, 10 minutes is always a safe guideline!♡ For a full two weeks, avoid swimming, baths, lakes, and any activity that requires submerging your tattoo in water. Let your tattoo peel and flake naturally and never pick at it or force peeling.♡ Do not use products with fragrance or use products you haven't used before to avoid allergic or adverse reactions. If you do use a new product, be sure to complete a 15 minute allergy patch test before using it on a fresh healing tattoo.♡ Long Term Aftercare: Once your tattoo is peeled and healed completely, keep it vibrant and healthy by always applying sunscreen, moisturizing your skin, and stay hydrated.
